Making your movements work together so that as you go from one place to the next you are not fighting your own movements.  Letting where you are moving and where your opponent is moving dictate your options and choosing the option that works best in your body mechanics and gets you what you want.

Training with another person during slow work to feel what your body is doing.  Disregard preconceived notions of what you want to do and instead do what seems natural regardless of whether or not it is successful.  If it is successful note why.  If it is not, note why.

Keep moving.  Keep the flow going.  Move your feet to place yourself in advantageous positions.  Its more about your feet than it is about your sword or shield.
